Fire Barrier Tape Installation Method Instructions
Opening
Clean the plastic pipe: The expandable material swells when exposed to fire; residual mortar or other impurities on the pipe may affect or delay expansion. Therefore, ensure the pipe is clean before installation
Installation of Fire Protection System
- Check the outer ring condition of the pipe. Refer to the "application chart" on this page or the packaging box according to the outer diameter of the pipe, and cut the fire barrier tape to the appropriate length
- Wrap the fire barrier tape tightly around the outer wall of the pipe according to the number of turns in the "application chart", and fix it with tape; then push the fixed fire barrier tape along the pipe wall into the gap, aligning with the base material. Note: Do not push it into the middle of the wall or floor thickness, otherwise the expansion reaction may be affected in case of fire
- To prevent smoke, fire and other gases from escaping, use fillers (such as CP66, FS-ONE) to seal residual gaps; larger gaps need to be sealed with fireproof mortar
- If needed, install a label sticker in a prominent position next to the fire blocking area, as a mark for later maintenance
