Fire Stop Tape Installation Instructions
Opening Preparation
Clean plastic pipes: The expandable material swells when exposed to fire; residual plaster or other impurities on the pipe may affect or delay expansion. Ensure the pipe is clean before installation.
Fire Protection System Installation Steps
- Inspect the exterior of the pipe. Refer to the "Application Chart" on this page or the packaging box based on the pipe outer diameter, and cut the fire stop tape to the appropriate length.
- Wrap the fire stop tape tightly around the pipe outer wall according to the number of turns in the "Application Chart", and secure it with adhesive tape.
- Push the fixed fire stop tape along the pipe wall into the gap, flush with the base material. Do not push it into the middle of the wall/floor thickness, as this may affect its expansion reaction in case of fire.
- To prevent cold smoke and other gases from escaping, seal the remaining gap with filler (e.g., CP66, FS-ONE); use fireproof mortar to seal large gaps.
- (Optional) Install a label sticker in a prominent position next to the fire stop sealing area for later maintenance identification.
